I Didn’t Plan on Living in My Essentials Hoodie — But Here We Are

First off — I wasn’t even shopping for clothes.
No joke, I went into that store looking for a phone charger. Somehow walked out with an Essentials Hoodie instead. That should’ve been the first sign.
It was this beige-ish color — kind of oatmeal, kind of gray — and it looked way too soft not to touch. I pulled it off the rack out of pure curiosity. Tried it on, looked in the mirror, and immediately thought: yeah, okay. I get the hype now.
The weight of it? Spot on. The hood actually stays up without flopping down every two seconds. And the way it hangs off the shoulders — it just looks good, even though it’s technically just a hoodie.
Then the compliments started.
You know when someone says, “Hey, that’s a cool Essentials Hoodie,” and you kind of play it off like it’s no big deal — even though secretly, you’re like, yes, validation? That started happening more than usual.
Barista noticed. The guy at the gym noticed. My brother, who never notices anything I wear, was like, “Wait, where’d you get that?”
After that, it didn’t take long before I was back online browsing the Essentials Tracksuit. I figured if the hoodie’s this good, the joggers must be decent too.
Spoiler: they’re better than decent.

The Tracksuit Was My Undoing (In a Good Way)
When I first got the full Essentials Tracksuit, I told myself it’d be for “weekend wear only.” That lasted exactly two days. Next thing I knew, I was wearing it to the store, to the movies, on a date (casual one, don’t worry), and even to a meeting once. Didn’t feel underdressed. Felt like I had my life together, honestly.
The joggers hit right at the ankle with just enough taper. Thick waistband, drawstring that doesn’t twist. It’s like someone took every annoying thing about bad sweatpants and just… fixed them.
Why I Keep Reaching for It
Let me be straight with you — I have other hoodies. A lot, actually. But they’re all just sitting in the drawer now. Because:
- The Essentials Hoodie fits like it was made for me, without looking sloppy.
- The fabric holds up after multiple washes — no shrinkage, no weird fading.
- It somehow works with everything. Cargo pants. Shorts. A decent jacket layered over it. You name it.
And with the full Essentials Tracksuit, it’s even easier. No matching needed. Throw it on, toss on some sneakers, and I’m out the door in five minutes looking like I actually planned something.
It’s Not Cheap — But It’s Not Fast Fashion Either
Let’s talk money. Yeah, this stuff isn’t $30 from a big-box store. You’ll probably spend a hundred-plus on the hoodie and more for the full set. But here’s the deal:
I wear mine all the time. Multiple times a week. The cost-per-wear? Super low now. It’s not one of those things that looks good once and falls apart. This is long-haul comfort and quality.
My Go-To Looks Lately
- Light gray Essentials Hoodie + black jeans + white sneakers — classic combo, no thinking required
- Full Essentials Tracksuit + beanie + neutral kicks — I call it my “I need coffee but still look presentable” fit
- Tracksuit pants + long tee + overshirt — relaxed but still sharp
- Hoodie under a bomber jacket + cargos — my cold-weather go-to
So, Is It Worth It?
If you’re on the fence, I’d say start with the hoodie. Try it on, see how it feels. There’s a reason people keep talking about it — it lives up to the buzz.
And if you’re anything like me, you’ll be back for the Essentials Hoodie & Essentials Tracksuit pretty soon after.
Just don’t be surprised if you end up wearing it three days in a row. Or four. Or… you know what? Who’s counting?
